The property is surrounded by large idyllic gardens around 1.5 acres, overlooking beautiful and dramatic Lakeland landscapes.

The main 1970s residence has been updated and finished to a high standard throughout and enjoys panoramic fell views to the front and sides. To the front of the property is a spacious sitting room with open fire and patio doors onto a decked terrace, ideal for dining and relaxing while enjoying the surrounding views. The newly fitted kitchen has contemporary gloss fitted units and high end fitted appliances.  At the rear of the ground floor is a light filled dining room with sliding doors onto a rear garden patio. There are three immaculately presented bedrooms and two bathrooms on this floor, one with a walk in rain shower and the other with a shower over bath.

Off the entrance hall is a garage with utility area and a back staircase leading to a split level third reception room and up to a luxurious master bedroom with eaves storage and ensuite. These rooms offer flexible uses and would also be ideal for guest or multi-generational accommodation, with a kitchenette and external access in the reception room.

The Apartment
At the rear of the property is an additional one bedroom apartment with spacious lounge/kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with sliding doors out to a patio and garden. The apartment is presently used as a holiday let, offering income potential.  The apartment has an external entrance, as well as interlinking internally, offering various use options, including extending the main residence or as self-contained accommodation for teenagers/ extended family.

In the garden
Oakvale is set on an impressive plot around one and a half acres with gardens to the front and rear. To the front a fabulous decked terrace overlooks a lawn garden and has magnificent fell views. The main back garden totals around one acre in size and is presently divided in half with hedging. The front section has a large lawn, patio seating areas and established plants, including hydrangea, rhododendrons and a beautiful magnolia tree.  The large rear elevated section has a huge amount of potential, with astonishing views it would be the ideal place for a large terrace or summer house for relaxing or entertaining. There is also scope for smallholding animals or a kitchen garden. The front of the residence is draped in a stunning wisteria and is approached via shared double driveway leading to a tarmac parking area to the front of the garage.

Oakvale is located in the North Lakeland village of Braithwaite, nestled between some of the most iconic lakes, fells and forests in the Lake District. The village has a number of amenities including pubs, restaurants, village store, primary school and village hall.  Braithwaite makes an ideal base for exploring and enjoying the area, situated at the start of Whinlatter Pass and the Newlands Valley, with numerous walks and fells on the doorstep.  The neighbouring village of Portinscale is set on the shores of Derwentwater and has two marinas for sailing.
