Our Time Here - We love that the property feels rural yet has great access to all major travel links. A short drive takes you to either Ramsgate or Sandwich, or you can be in Canterbury in 20 minutes. The local schools are excellent and easily accessible by bus or train. We are surrounded by farmland and the sea, with picturesque views of both out of the upstairs windows. Both Pegwell Bay and the nature reserve are nearby and make for lovely walks.
The property is a great family home – bedrooms are well positioned and offer privacy for your own space as they are not on top of each other. The kitchen is large and airy, which is great for entertaining and, as a family, we spend most of our time there. We love that our home is spacious inside and out.
Ramsgate has a great café culture as well as bars and restaurants. Sitting alongside the harbour with a glass of wine on a sunny evening gives that holiday feeling without leaving home! In the other direction, Sandwich is a wonderful, historic Cinque Port. There are places to eat and drink and fantastic routes for walking and cycling. Throughout the year there are lots of local events, so there is always something to keep you entertained.
The space, peacefulness and feeling of being in your own oasis are things we are going to miss most. This house is an ideal family home however, with only two of us here now, it is time to downsize and let a new family enjoy all the wonderful things it has to offer.
