Minnis Bay is just around the corner but we never lose the peaceful and private feeling of living here, even with how popular the beaches are in the summer months.

Birchington high street has everything you would expect to find in a local town, while the independent stores still give it a village feel. The town offers plenty of choice for places to eat and drink – with all types of cuisines.

Our home is very spacious. Having a mixture of open plan living and large individual rooms gives us the best of both set ups when we are hosting family and friends. The patio doors open out from the kitchen-diner onto the decking in our perfect suntrap garden. The whole house has an amazing family-orientated atmosphere.

People have always commented on the flow and welcoming feel of our home. We have modernised it as much as it has needed but have never lost the character. You always get a lovely sunset along the coastline at the bottom of the road, no matter how bad the weather has been. We are going to miss everything about our home having lived here for 14 years and it has been a difficult decision to move on but now is the right time for us to downsize.
