The Vendor's View - I bought Two Chimneys 36 years ago with my parents, three years on from then we bought the adjacent campsite, developing it into a caravan park that was sold in 2015. Despite the park being nearby, our privacy has never been impacted and Two Chimneys remains an extremely quiet place to live. The surrounding grounds, original walls and privacy from a well-established hedge all add to the countryside atmosphere of living here.
Throughout the years we have upgraded our home while retaining its character, whether that is by improvements with a new kitchen or adding space with the conservatory or the garden room extension. It is a wonderful family home, with so much space that can be adapted into whatever you need it to be and we have always loved entertaining family and friends here. The garden and patio areas are fantastic for enjoying the warmer weather during the summer months and the living room is perfect for being together, with a cosy feeling.
Despite being in the countryside, Birchington high street is only a short drive away and has a great selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Transport links around and out of the area are ideal, with the Thanet Way linking to Canterbury and London and there is of course the high speed train service to St Pancras. For local produce, you cannot beat the nearby Quex Farm Shop.
We have some fantastic family memories at Two Chimneys and I have very much enjoyed bringing up my children here, but now is the time for me to downsize as I am living on my own and would like to be closer to my family.
