A favourite room in particular is the first-floor conservatory with expansive sea views. Our local beach is a short walk away – offering surfing, canoeing and beach volleyball.

Broadstairs has a fantastic rail service to London and good local road links to all surrounding towns. There are excellent local schools for all abilities – grammar and private sector. The house is fantastic for all season entertainment, either in the summer with the large enclosed private garden and patio or winter with cosy log fires. We do enjoy an evening drink on the balcony catching the last of the setting sun. Broadstairs is an active town with excellent shopping at Westwood Cross and the choice of several supermarkets. Every sporting activity is catered for – squash, sailing, tennis, golf, gyms, rugby, football, cricket – all within ten minutes.

We enjoy shopping trips to France either by ferry or Eurotunnel, for wine, cheese and restaurants.

This has been our home for 34 years, we are moving to be closer to our son but we shall miss it for a million reasons – clifftop walks, fresh air, glorious sunrises, enjoy the best of all worlds and sleeping and waking to the sound of the sea.
