The Vendor's View - Our house is beautifully situated by the beach, in a quiet and secure small development between the sea and golf course, with lovely neighbours. The sitting room and adjoining balcony have gorgeous views over quiet common land – a wilderness of wild flowers and a haven for birds and butterflies – to the beach, a minute's walk from the house, while we wake in our bedroom to glorious sea views. We love to enjoy a cold glass of wine on our suntrap balcony while taking in the stunning Whitstable sunsets.
The house is bright and airy, yet cosy in the winter months. It has a welcoming atmosphere and works well for both family and for entertaining.
We have off-road parking and a small secluded garden.
Whitstable is a lovely place; a pretty and atmospheric seaside gem, vibrant but never overrun, with an abundance of galleries and boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars, yet still a working town with proper shops. It has great road and rail links to London, and onwards to Thanet, and is very close to the beautiful and ancient cathedral and university city of Canterbury. Our house is a few minutes’ walk along the Saxon Shore sea path to the town and bustling harbour, past the Old Neptune right on the beach, our "local" and surely one of the best situated pubs anywhere in England - and a few minutes’ drive to the beautiful hilly Kentish countryside.
We shall miss Whitstable greatly and hope to return to live here again one day.
