The Vendor's View - The property was very run down and dilapidated when I first saw it but happily I could see past that and could see its potential. There was a fine house in there just waiting to be revealed.

The house has a wealth of original features still intact, which I found very appealing and it’s in a great location. I love the sense of light and space and all the original features.

There is a strong sense of local community on the street itself in Westbrook Gardens. The house is ideally situated, being a short walk from Margate train station and close to local shops and buses. The vibrant Old Town and the wonderful Turner Contemporary Art Gallery are just a short walk away along the beach, together with all the wonderful antique shops, restaurants and artists' studios.

JMW Turner was right when he said that Margate had "the loveliest skies in Europe". Here, you are in the midst of a thriving community of artists with many pop-up galleries and it's always fascinating to explore the area. There are frequent high speed trains to Canterbury and London, with several good colleges in Canterbury and many cultural events and food festivals around and about.
