This is fairly small, too small for example to accept one of those massive American style fridges but then again, with only two people living here who would find such a fridge necessary? It contains all you would expect or to be honest, all you would need and the continuing theme of the beamed ceiling gives it a delightful ‘cottage’ feel.

Climbing the stairs and turning to our right brings us into the bedroom. Mirroring the dimensions of the living room beneath this is a very comfortable double bedroom with masses of space for enough wardrobes to store Imelda Marcos’ shoes. For anyone too young to remember her, that’s a lot. Being up in the roof space as we are, the ceilings are shaped to follow the slope of the roof, making for a very cosy room.

On the other side of the stairwell is the bathroom. This is very nicely appointed and features, as you would expect, hand basin, lavatory and bath with shower over. This shower is powered directly from the mains ensuring excellent water pressure at all times; always a good thing. At the far end of the room is a large airing cupboard making maximum use of the space above the stairs and providing loads of storage.
