town of Blandford Forum, and about 6 miles from Wimborne

including Bryanston, Canford and Clayesmore. The popular
towns of Bournemouth, renowned for its sandy beaches, and
Poole with its harbour for sailing and watersports, are both on
the Dorset coast, and the city of Salisbury is about 25 miles
away, all having mainline train services to London

Description

Greenacres is detached village house offering extensive
accommodation, and a versatile layout that could be
arranged to suit a variety of different purchaser's own needs.
The property was originally a much smaller cottage, and has
been extended and improved by the current owner over the
last 20 years. The elevations are of mainly whitened render
and brick under a mostly plain tiled and partly slate roof.
The house must be viewed internally to fully appreciate the
character and space available. There are many character
features including several beamed ceilings, brick fireplaces
and exposed brick walls. In recent years the kitchen and
many of the bath and shower room fittings have been
renewed, and the property re-decorated. There is a biomass
central heating system
The house is entered through a reception/ dining hall with
a brick fireplace feature wall and dado height panelling, the
sitting room also has a brick fireplace with a log burner, and
doors open into the large conservatory with doors to the
terrace. The kitchen/ breakfast room has an Aga set into a
brick recess and been re-fitted with a range of units and built
in appliances including ceramic hob, built in oven, extractor
and dishwasher, and there is a neighbouring utility room.
An inner hall reception area gives access to a cloakroom,
the family room, and the swimming pool area and has the
unusual feature of a glass topped well. Also on the ground
floor are a good sized bedroom with en suite bathroom, a
study/ laundry room and a 2nd cloakroom. The first floor
accommodation is approached via two separate staircases,
and offers the potential to create an annexe if so desired. Themaster bedroom has a balcony, a walk in dressing room and
an en suite bathroom, the guest bedroom has an en suite
shower room, and there are two further bedrooms, one with a
dressing area, and the family bathroom.
The swimming pool complex has a heated pool about 30'
x 22', a vaulted wood clad ceiling and French doors to the
terrace. There is a shower/ cloaks/ changing room and 5
person sauna, plus a plant room/ workshop.
Outside
Electrically operated iron gates open into a shared shingle
driveway with turning circle, and a private drive providing
extensive parking and hard standing. Paved terraces
perfect for entertaining run around the conservatory and the
swimming pool complex. The garden area is laid to lawn with
shrubs and trees including a superb blue cedar. The concrete
stable yard has a range of buildings including 6 loose boxes,
one used as a hay store, a tack room and w.c., and 2 follies.
An arched walkway from the stable block leads through
the gardens, past an area of woodland to the two large
interlinked paddocks. The gardens and grounds extend in all
to about 7 acres.
