Before I begin, I'd like to say just how environmentally friendly this family home could be as it's ideally situated close to Broughton Retail Shopping Centre! I mean it's less than a 10 minute walk away, so no need for a car just a fine pair of legs and when you get there it's got M&S, NEXT, WH Smiths, Mobile phone shops, sports shops and loads of restaurants, even a pub.... so if you're looking to get healthier - even if you go to the pub - you can walk it off on the way back home, making this is the right move for you.

It was a glorious sunny day when I pulled up outside this rather normal looking semi-detached home and parked up on the street, which if I’m honest, looked as if it was something out of a TV soap. It was clean and tidy, everything was neat and perfectly placed, I felt that my car untidied the road and I certainly wasn’t going to park it on their immaculate driveway.

This low level brick wall creates a nice border from the pavement, a perfectly manicured lawn merges with paving stones that lead you on foot to the front door and by car to the rear garage, that’s tucked away behind this fab family home.

An open porch with a slate roof shadows the front door to help keep the rain off, you know when you fumble for your keys on those wet days…..what wet days you ask, judging by the photos, it appears to never rain in this part of the world – it couldn’t be any more perfect.

As I walked inside it just got better and better. A large entrance hallway greets you, from the front door with its frosted glass panels and a window from the landing upstairs, the light just floods in, like a Tetleys Tea bag lets the flavour flood in (showing my age now)! With quality wood effect flooring running the full length of the downstairs, doors open to the ground floor accommodation and to cap it off, a beautiful turned staircase leads elegantly to the first floor.

The first door that you come to as you walk into the hall would be the downstairs cloakroom. This room not only has a toilet and sink but also a fully functioning shower cubicle. Handy for those times when you’ve been out running, fixing the car, gardening or whatever it may be that caused you to get dirty. I mean, you don’t want to traipse the mess upstairs and have to use the family bathroom, do you?? There's even a small frosted window to help brighten this room up and it's tucked up above the wooden panels that decorate the walls below.

The next room to explore is the lounge, which again is very bright due to the large bay window that over-looks the front garden. Tastefully decorated and with the wood effect floor, this room is ready to move straight into…..all you may need are some screws and a bracket, yes to fix your 65” TV to the wall.

At the end of the hallway a door opens into the hub of this home that was built to entertain....the impressive kitchen / breakfast / dining room / orangery / family room. The kitchen is fitted with stylish floor and wall mounted storage units, integrated appliances are mostly hidden from view, wooden work surfaces cover three walls allowing space for your modern day kitchen appliances and also food preparation, which you’ll need when your numerous friends and family flock here to be entertained by you – especially now that Christmas is looming....... dam I've started to mention Christmas already - I hate myself too!!!

The kitchen opens into a breakfast / dining area where there’s loads of room for a full size dining table and chairs, you can even extend it into the orangery, which is conveniently located right next door. So if you have a large gathering of friends or family members round and you all want to sit next to each other, this room can easily accommodate and some – you just need to make sure you have a big enough table and chairs to fit!

One thing that the downstairs rooms are not short of is light, light beams downs from the orangery roof, windows adorn the sides, the kitchen has a window overlooking the rear garden and then at night, spotlights run down the ceiling like an aircraft runway – let’s just hope that the Beluga doesn’t mistake here for the landing strip!

As we walk back through the kitchen to the hallway, the carpeted turned staircase takes us up to the first floor, actually your legs do but the stairs help and upon reaching the landing, the carpet theme continues until you go inside the rooms.

As mentioned previously, a window over the side helps keep the first and ground floor illuminated throughout daylight hours and there are doors that lead off to all of the bedrooms.

The master bedroom and bedroom two both have built in wardrobes, the third bedroom doesn’t but all rooms can easily fit double beds which for a home these days is rare, as normally bedroom three can just about fit a chair in now-a-days! So the upstairs bedrooms are very well proportioned. There is always an option to fit an en-suite in, if the need was that great but we would recommend speaking to a builder first, just to see how easily this can be achieved.

The family bathroom comprises of a contemporary three piece suite, with a bath, wash hand basin and toilet, remember there’s a shower cubicle downstairs. A large frosted window continues the light theme that I think is a great feature of this beautiful family home.

OK, now to the outside…..a new wooden panel fence completely shields the back garden for privacy, a beautiful manicured garden is neighbour to the patio area that continues from the front of the home, making this a very easy space to keep on top of, as far as maintenance goes. A garage finishes this write up off, with its up and over door and electric, allowing you to tinker with you car or bike at night or to just use it as a storage room as most garages become today!
