Do you like the photos?? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally…..the good thing about NewHome4U is, we OPEN 7 DAYS a WEEK and we’re physically in the office 4U just so that you can, ‘’like no other estate agent in Mold’

Every so often I am asked to visit and describe a home that takes me utterly by surprise. This is one of those homes. From the front it appears to be a fairly normal post war ex-local authority semi.
Neat but unexceptional, it also has a gravelled front garden area which can be used for extra useful parking. A shared drive goes down the side of the building, giving access to the detached immaculate garage come workshop. Climbing the steps to the brick porch and entering the home however, it is immediately obvious this home is anything but normal.

The entrance hall has dark ceramic tiles on the floor, giving way to carpeting as we enter the lounge. This is a deceptively large room, maximising its already generous dimensions by utilising the deep recesses either side of the substantial chimney breast. An abundance of light floods in from the large front picture window.

A door leads us through into the kitchen and here, the home takes on an utterly different character. High gloss marble effect ceramic tiles cover the floor and these, combined with the overhead spotlights illuminating the room make the room far brighter than it has a right to be, courtesy of the amount of light reflected off the floor. An enormous American style fridge is to our left while the opposite wall houses the kitchen units. Laid out in a long ‘U’ shape these are modern, stylish and very attractive containing everything the most discerning chef could ever need, as is obvious from the photographs. Kitchens of this size and quality are rare, all the more so in a home as normal looking as this.

From the other side of the room the home springs another surprise. Turning our back on the kitchen side of the room, we enter the dining room. I’ve never seen what is in effect a kitchen/diner with enough space to accommodate an eight seat dining table and yet will still allow you to walk around it without pressing yourself against the wall, so an amazing space for entertaining numerous friends and family - especially with Christmas coming up fast. This area is illuminated by a side window, supplementing the huge overhead velux at this end of the kitchen, making this a very civilised place to dine.

To one side of the dining area is another door leading into a multi-purpose room. Currently doubling as a large walk in larder / wine cellar and office, it could as easily be a teenagers hideaway or games room. Another door at the rear of here reveals the under-stair storage which also houses the gas combi boiler and a place for Henry (the hoover)!

Finally, at the end of this kitchen in a semi glazed door into the sun room. With a solid roof, a continuation of the kitchen floor tiles and one side wall mostly of brick, this is a thinking man’s conservatory. The massive windows give all the light you would expect but the solid nature of its construction prevents any of the winter heating problems that so often prevent the use of normal conservatories during the colder months.

There is a set of French doors opening out into the enclosed rear garden with its raised decking area, ideal for sitting with a drink or two and wasting away those summer evenings that are sadly now only a fading memory…..

Moving back indoors and up the stairs we find straight ahead the rear facing smaller bedroom. Although ‘smaller’ is only a relative term, as this easily accommodates one of those bunk bed sets where the bottom bunk is a ¾ sized double bed along with various other substantial pieces of furniture.

Adjacent to here towards the front of the home is its twin. Another double bedroom looking out onto the road.

Next to here is the bathroom. Recently entirely re-fitted this has been very nicely done and features floor to ceiling tiles, a wooden tongue and groove ceiling that to me gives it an attractive nautical feel and a modern contemporary suite of hand basin, lavatory and bath.

Opposite here is the master bedroom, the first section of which doubles as a very comfortable dressing room. This houses the dressing table, vanity unit and the sort of wardrobe you could go on your holiday in. As we move further into the room, into what is an extension to the home, an archway takes us into the bedroom section. This is comfortable and well lit via the large picture window overlooking the rear garden, and contains just the bed as the storage in the dressing room renders anything else unnecessary.

All in all this is so much more home than first impressions lead you to expect. What appears to be a neat, well kept but strictly normal 3 bed semi is actually so much more. The lounge is snug and cosy, a refuge from the hurly burly of life, while the kitchen and dining room are firmly in the realms of the glossy magazines. The sheer quality of the fittings and the style of the design and layout belong in an altogether different and grander sort of house. The tasteful refurbishment of the bathroom and extension to the master bedroom further elevate this home beyond the everyday. Chances like this don’t come along very often, so don’t miss out.
