Newburgh is a picturesque village situated on the south side of the Firth of Tay, on the regional border of Fife and Perth and Kinross.
The village is well serviced, providing a range of essential services and amenities including a medical practice, shops, cafés, and primary school. Recreational facilities include a sailing club, playparks and access to the Fife Coastal path. Newburgh also claims to be the birthplace of whisky, the origins of which lie in the ancient ruins of Lindores Abbey.
