Dundee, (12 miles south east) is Scotland’s fourth largest city and lies on the north bank of the Firth of Tay.

Dundee has excellent retail amenities with major department stores, independent retailers and further retail parks. There are two well regarded universities, with Dundee University being home to one of the UK’s top medical schools.

Primary schools are available in the villages of Kettins, Auchterhouse, Birkhill, Newtyle and Muirhead. For the golfer there are a number of courses within a convenient distance including Piperdam, Rosemount in Blairgowrie, two courses in Alyth and numerous championship courses at St Andrews. In addition to golf, Piperdam also has a leisure club with swimming pool and gym. The ski slopes of Glenshee can be reached in just over an hour’s journey by car to the north whilst the Angus glens offer field spots as well as wonderful and varied hill walking routes.
