Description

Guide Price £1,000,000 to £1,100,000

A quite magnificent three-bedroom mansion flat encompassing the entire ground floor of a substantial William Willet built Victorian Villa, set on the prestigious tree-lined Drive in central Hove.

The apartment has a magnificent, large, mature rear garden, and is situated in a favoured prime central location, within immediate proximity of the seafront. The approach to this striking mansion property is particularly impressive and there is a real sense of old Hove grandeur. Boasting circa 1800 square feet, the apartment itself is beautifully presented. It retains a wealth of original character and period detailing throughout, including high ceilings, fine sash windows, moulded ceiling cornices, tall skirting boards and period fireplaces.

The spacious entrance with original tiled flooring leads to all the various rooms in the house. The west-facing drawing room is simply breathtaking, and is a superb space in which to relax and entertain. A modern kitchen offers high gloss units with quality integrated appliances, and connects to a dining area which overlooks the garden. All bedrooms offer great proportions and the master really does have the wow factor with vistas onto the garden, which is worthy of particular mention as the apartment's very best feature.

The stunning, private, lawned rear garden is arguably one of the larger and more magical gardens in centre of Hove. In addition to the shed, there is also a great summer house at the rear of the garden which could have an array of uses such as a great home office or gym.

In short, this is a very comfortable and spacious home of immense charm and character, with an elegance and grandeur that is rare to find. The location of this property is enviable with a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars within immediate proximity making this one of the most convenient locations in the City. Hove station and the seafront are also close by.

Guide Price £1,000,000 to £1,100,000

We wanted it all, and got it with our home on The Drive. Karen needed to be close to the train station for her London commute, and Peter wanted easy access to the motorway for his commute. Neither of us were willing to live far from the sea front, which we frequently use for family walks, exercise options along the path, and ice cream runs in the summer. While we are central and close to everything, the escape into a park-like backyard is a sanctuary rarely found. This solidly constructed home has the charm and elegance of a former era, without the wear and decay that could come with the territory. The layout is spacious yet cozy. This is a home for all seasons: we have spent hours in front of the fire on stormy winter days, and enjoy having the bedroom French doors wide open with breakfast on the balcony in the summer.
