The Vendor's View - We were first drawn to the potential that we could see in this historic property which, at the time, comprised of two cottages. We had a vision to create a beautiful and characterful family home, retaining the historic feel, whilst incorporating modern comforts. We did just that, renovated extensively, and have lived in Willow Cottage for the past 35 years since.
The house has a lovely homely feel, featuring two inglenook fireplaces and has been a brilliant place to spend time with the family. Perhaps our favourite part is the hill behind the house, which has a spectacular view over the Kentish countryside and where we have held many bonfire night celebrations etc. over the years.
We're very familiar with the local area, having lived here for many years. We particularly enjoy the rural setting, as well as being part of a village community and just 3 miles away from the centre of Canterbury. The land backs onto Blean Woods, and we are only a short drive from the coast, so we really do have the best of all worlds.
As we have decided to downsize now, we know that we will miss the space that Willow Cottage provides over its three floors. We have many happy memories of time spent with family here, and we will treasure those.
