Situation

Maidenfield is situated on the edge of the pretty coastal village of Maidencombe, which is surrounded by beautiful rolling Devon countryside and has the well-regarded Thatched Tavern Public House. Maidencombe sits on the fringes of the renowned English Riviera of Torbay, which comprises three coastal towns and is a gem on the South Devon coastline, offering something of a microclimate with its palm trees and sandy beaches. The bay stretches from the quaint fishing port of Brixham and Berry Head on the western side to the popular resort of Torquay which has numerous tourist attractions, expansive promenades, a marina, grand hotels and excellent opportunities for boating and water sports.

There are a good range of educational facilities within easy reach, including renowned grammar schools in Torquay. The lovely estuary village of Shaldon is also close by with its eclectic mix of independent cafes and shops.
