We moved to 50 Percy Gardens in 2005, and have enjoyed living here more than anywhere else we have lived in London, and are selling because we no longer work in London and have plans to embark on some extended foreign travel now that we are retired.

Although we moved to Percy Gardens from a 3 bedroomed house, we have found that the flat’s careful and skilful design has given us more storage space than had even been available in the house.

We have loved living with the sense of openness and space afforded by the incredible, and unique, views across the R.Thames and Kew Gardens to the central London skyline beyond. It was always a pleasure to arrive home after a busy day in the city to the solid brick-built block and the peace and calm of the living room with the real feeling of being separate from all the hustle and bustle. We even once managed to host a (safe and well supervised!) barbecue on the living room balcony!

Additionally, the comfortable, generous-sized rooms, and general layout of the flat have been a delight to live in. It has been great preparing meals in the well-designed kitchen that we have equipped with various appliances necessary for contemporary living. Breakfast at the kitchen table, for example, alongside the panoramic view from the window, is something we have really appreciated.

The surrounding locality, that includes the ancient Isleworth riverside, Syon and nearby Richmond has the feel of a real urban village and we will be sorry to leave the vibrant community, and it’s periodic street events, that we have been a part of.

The local transport links are excellent and it has been a liberation to have been able to move around the city without the use of our car. Isleworth is served by numerous bus routes, with easy access to National Rail services at stations at Isleworth and St. Margarets. The Underground is a short bus ride away at Hounslow East (Piccadilly line) or Richmond (District line, Overground and National Rail services).
