"We fell in love with Balsham when we came here," says the owner. "We needed to upsize to make room for visiting family and friends, and we just loved the village when we came to explore. There is a lovely church just across the road from us and everyone is so friendly, and there are several little shops such as the post-office, which sells fresh fruit and veg, and a new farm shop/café, serving really nice coffees. It's become the hub of the community now!

"There are also lots of short walks including a circular route around the village itself. Balsham is a very tidy village; people really take care of it.

"This home is still perfect to us, and it's not at all overlooked," continues the owner. "The garden is south-facing so you can sit outside in a wonderfully peaceful private spot. The best view is through the lounge patio doors during spring and summer when the flowers are all in bloom. You can see the Japanese garden if you look through the lavender archway. It's really beautiful. We also planted a wonderful strawberry box, which our grandchildren enjoy picking fruit from.
