"When summery days beckon, I can throw open the kitchen doors and breakfast on the terrace , which gets the morning sun (with or without the sunshade up.) It seems a while ago but I remember being out there for weeks on end, last year and the year before. The kitchen has seen much entertaining, as I we have shared 3 significant birthdays during our time, and the long table has seen plenty of use. Broseley Grove is a very local street as it is like a cul-de-sac. No-one passes through, everyone is a neighbour or their visitor, and when we arrived people came to introduce themselves and offer help. We were given a lawnmower by Iris at 22, as she had a spare. We got some hands on gardening advice from my neighbour at 33, and building expertise from 27, when the gate needed fixing. I shall miss my life in The Grove. Plenty of local squirrels, foxes and even a Robin, who asks me what I'm doing in his garden, whenever I get the urge to dig over the earth."
