Full description

What makes this property special?
* Situated in the village of Wixford, Bellamy Cottage is a deceptively spacious detached cottage originally built over two hundred years ago, which has loads of charm and beautiful character features. It has been totally refurbished and extended and now offers stylish, modern and flexible living space within this period home.
* Approached over a large gravel drive, with its attractive water well, step inside this lovely home and into the welcoming entrance hall. With flagstone flooring, an under stairs cupboard, and a staircase leading to the first floor, with its wattle and daub feature wall, your journey begins.
* The sitting room having a bay window overlooking the front elevation and an inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove, together with an exposed stone wall and a wealth of feature beams, makes this a great reception room in which to entertain, or on colder evenings is somewhere to cosy up in when the fire is lit.
* The hallway is open plan to the dining room which again has a bay window to the front and solid oak flooring. With a brick inglenook fireplace containing a wrought iron fire basket as well as a useful built-in glass fronted display cupboard - what a lovely area in which to entertain.
* The well-proportioned kitchen/breakfast room has views out over the pretty rear garden. With ceramic floor tiles and under floor heating, there is a good range of solid oak fronted wall, base and drawer units topped with work surfaces. This is a great "cook's kitchen" with integrated appliances including a fridge, dishwasher, a double electric oven and ceramic hob with extractor overhead. There is a useful breakfast bar for informal dining, together with a pantry/cupboard. Double doors take you out to the garden - so there is no excuse for al fresco dining.
* The fitted utility room, has again ceramic floor tiles and space for a tall fridge/freezer as well as plumbing for a washing machine and tumble dryer. An inner hallway leads to the front of the house with a guest cloakroom adjacent and there is also access to the rear garden. The integral garage where the boiler is housed, has an up and over door with light, power and a window to the rear.
* The master bedroom is light and airy with dual aspect and is accessed by its own staircase. With windows to the front, and double doors with a Juliette balcony to the rear, there are fine views over the garden and fields beyond, and with its engineered oak flooring, a large walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and beautifully appointed shower room, this is certainly a bedroom of note!
* The other bedrooms all have built-in wardrobes and/or eaves storage and are accessed by the main staircase. One bedroom has another en-suite shower room and the smallest bedroom is presently being used as a home office with built-in shelving. There is a family bathroom with bath and rainfall overhead shower head.
* The south facing garden is an attractive feature of this pretty home. Beautifully landscaped with a raised lawn, decking and patio areas and with integrated lights, well stocked borders and a summer house with electrics - this is a lovely garden in which to soak up the sun or to entertain friends and family.
* No upward chain.
