SELLER INSIGHT "The No.1 thing we love and will miss the most is definitely the view. Even after nearly 30 years in the house, we haven't lost our love of it. It changes every day, particularly the colours. Even the storms and showers rolling down from the moors are worth watching. We still spend time every day just looking out at it all.

There are three nesting boxes built into the eaves and one of our great treats is to lie in bed in the morning with a cup of tea watching the house martins flitting past the window as they feed on insects.

We love the garden and the deck where we have frequent family gatherings (particularly barbecues) throughout the warmer months.

We have always tried to surround ourselves with space in our houses and Ashwell Corner certainly has that. The house is in a rural environment, surrounded by farmland, and we love the tranquillity, yet it is so convenient too. We are less ten minutes from the nearest supermarkets and are close to the A380 so it is the best of both worlds,

The house itself has been great to bring up a family in. These days we mainly live on the top floor which is also where the living space is. The children have always had the bottom floor to themselves. Everyone has their own space if they want it - which has been perfect for us.

We'll miss Ashwell very much, but it is time for us to downsize now, we hope the new owner gets as much enjoyment from our home as much as we've had over the years. Enjoy the view!"

STEP INSIDE The property has two distinct aspects, from the front it is a commanding house but from the back where the front door is accessed you would be forgiven for thinking you were going into a more modest bungalow. It certainly adds to its character and intrigue. The entrance hall is at a mid level and gives access to all the main accommodation with a short staircase to the first floor and another leading down to the ground floor. The bathroom is at this level so serves the upper and lower floors well. Going on to the first floor you'll find the bright kitchen which leads into a lovely garden/family room which opens out onto the garden decking. The living room is to the front of the house and as soon as you walk in you are drawn straight to the windows to gaze out at the view, it's beautiful! The room is spacious and works well as a lounge diner- with four windows it is a lovely bright space too. Just off the living room is a lobby space with access to the master bedroom and study/dressing room. This area works well as a suite with matching views to the living room. The bedroom also has an ensuite shower room. Down on the ground floor, there are three good size bedrooms each with windows to the front. There is also access into the garage and also a handy storage area.

STEP OUTSIDE The gardens here are a real credit to the owner, they are private and have a lovely open feel to them. The garden is to the back of the house and has been planted to create a cottage garden look with an immaculate lawn. To the back of the garden there are raised vegetable beds and timber shed. There is a timber deck running from the back of the house, creating a great BBQ area with access into the garden room and kitchen. Steps from here lead down to the entrance to the house, this area is paved and a path leads from there around to the front.

LOCATION The property is located in the hamlet of Ashwell - eight properties and countryside - on the outskirts of Bishopsteignton. Bishopsteignton village has a post office, shop, pharmacy, a garage, primary school, two pubs, churches, doctor's surgery and a hotel. More amenities (including mainline rail services) are available at Teignmouth to the east and the market town of Newton Abbot (approximately 3 miles to the west). The A380 dual carriageway linking Torbay to the south with Exeter and the M5 motorway to the north is accessible within approximately 2 miles of the village.

PARKING The owners have just created an off road parking area which comfortably fits 4 cars.
