The Vendor's View - Our home is in a quiet, leafy location on the edge of the conservation zone of the pretty former village of Reading Street, close to the beautiful Joss Bay beach. There is a village pub, local shops within walking distance and both Broadstairs high street and the Westwood Cross shopping centre are a short drive away. A 20-minute walk or five-minute drive takes you to Broadstairs station.
We love the holiday feel of Broadstairs, the seafront bars and restaurants maintain their vibrancy throughout the year.
The large open-plan kitchen, dining, living area is finished to a high specification and really has become the hub of our family life. The nine metres of sliding doors and rooflights give a light airy feel and frame the garden beautifully. When open, it creates an inside/outside living space to the granite patio with no sill for the children to trip over. The patio is perfect for early morning sunshine and the garden seating area located to catch the last of the evening sunshine.
The house works brilliantly for us as a family, we tend to live in the big open-plan space most of the time. The downstairs has a beautiful flow to it as we opened the lounge up with big pocket doors, which is ideal when we are entertaining family and friends or if we want to close it off and be more cosy.
We are going to miss the town, having the sandy beach just around the corner and the large open-plan living spaces that our home offers.
