"The gardeners here are amazing - the best I have ever known - they don't just keep the grounds neat and tidy, but they actually make them into somewhere that is very beautiful indeed."

While Meridian Court is ideal for those are mobile, there is a manager on the site and residents have the reassurance of knowing there is 24-hour emergency assistance available should they require it. "It is the perfect place to come to enjoy your independence and yet at the same time you know that help is there if you ever need it," she observes.

ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS

There are organised trips and activities for those living at Meridian Court to join in if they wish. These range from picnics and days out to barbecues and games nights on the site itself. "It is up to you whether you want to take part, but it is nice to know there are things going on all the time," she says. The communal day room is a good place to meet friends as well as to join in activities and the beautiful grounds can be shared by friends and family members when they come to visit. "They cater for people with all sorts of different interests."

EASY LIVING

The property itself offers easy living all on one level, she explains. There is an entrance hall, drawing room, kitchen, two bedrooms and bathroom. "Again, it was unusual to find a retirement property with such generous rooms. The drawing room is a very large, light area, which catches the sunshine as it comes in from east to west throughout the day, and the master bedroom is also nice and sunny. There is also ample space to have friends to visit and guests to stay." The bungalow has its own private outside space for growing plants and flowers, and for enjoying quiet relaxation out in the fresh air. "This was what we were looking for in terms of outside space, so again it was ideal," she adds. The owner thinks back to the day she first visited Meridian Court and admits life here has been as successful as she hoped it would be. "It was a lovely day in September when we arrived, and we were so impressed with everything I saw - we knew it was the ideal place and we were right."
