Where? Old Martlesham is handily placed for access to Martlesham Heath, where there is a Tesco superstore and other retail outlets. The River Deben at Waldringfield and nearby Woodbridge are equally accessible.

Woodbridge has schools for all ages in the state and independent sectors and there are three primary schools in Martlesham and a high school at Kesgrave.
