This is more for appearance that heat I suspect, as the gas central heating will keep you more than toastie enough through the worst winter, but it’s nice to have something to look at as well isn’t it? Understairs panelled storage cupboards complete the hallway and enable the hallway to be kept immaculate and free from clutter!

Opposite here is the downstairs cloakroom, with its hand basin and low level lavatory.
To the rear of the home is the kitchen-dining family room and this is a revelation. This first thing you notice is the floor. Not that I usually crawl round client’s homes…. This is of large white ceramic tiles that are of a high gloss finish that reflects light from the overhead ceiling spotlights, giving the impression of another set of floor mounted lights. It may sound odd, but is genuinely effective and very attractive. The kitchen itself is in the fashionable Shaker style, again very light and simply a pleasant place to be. It is not only pleasant but also efficient, equipped as it is with its integrated appliances, gas hob and vertical tower oven..

In the centre of the room is the dining area with pendant lighting accentuating this part of the stylish room. The other end of the kitchen we find the family area which easily seats 2 x sofas or corner sofa. This is a large open room with a continuation of the flooring in the kitchen which gives a very airy feeling not dissimilar to a continental café and if that makes it sound spartan that is not the case at all. At this end of the large kitchen-dining family room is a large set of opening French windows leading onto the paved patio area with its alfresco dining table, just crying out for the many family BBQs that a home like this will surely host.

Beyond the patio is the sheltered garden. Not overlooked at all but made even more private by the small trees around the perimeter and before you get nervous about those, they are not large enough to present maintenance problems for many years.

Moving upstairs to our right is a front facing bedroom. This is an interestingly shaped double room, with two deep recesses that will either house free standing wardrobes or offer the possibility of formally building fitted ones.

Opposite here is the smallest of the bedrooms. This, like the other rooms to the rear of the home has a ceiling that follows the roof line necessitating a velux roof mounted window, with the wonderful light that these allow. This is a very comfortable single room which could, at a squeeze accommodate a double bed.

Adjacent to here is the family bathroom. This features a wood look-alike vinyl floor covering for maximum practicality, and a standard suite of hand basin, lavatory and bath, also with a velux window.

Now to the last of the rear facing bedrooms. This could be a good sized double room and an added bonus of a large recess behind the door that easily holds a full sized wardrobe or could alternatively be converted to a fitted unit.

Finally we come to the master bedroom. This is delightfully light and airy, made more so by the lack of large furniture courtesy of the whole wall of fitted wardrobes. Another door leads off into the self contained en-suite with its hand basin, lavatory and walk in shower with a mains power shower.
