The Vendor's View - Quietness springs to mind when describing the location of Old Park Farm, we are in a semi-rural setting but within a short walk we can be in the centre of Canterbury. Behind us is the Old Park itself, which we have access to by our gate – perfect for us as dog walkers. There is an abundance of wildlife from different species of owls to nightingale, it is unique to hear them singing outside the bedroom window.

Anyone who has been to visit us has been surprised that the property is actually here and how quiet it is. The house has a couple of periods to it; some of the rooms have very high ceilings with large double aspect windows, creating a very light atmosphere. Our home has a real Christmas feel to it, at that time of year we have a 12-foot tree in the living room and the open fires create a lovely aroma throughout.

In the summer we have an in-and-out atmosphere, with double doors on the lounge out to the garden – we enjoy barbecues and spending time under the pergola. The garden is around an acre and provides plenty of space to entertain, with areas bathed in sunshine or shady spots. It is easy to accommodate guests here, with room to spread out and independent spaces. People can come and stay and it is made easy from the six bedrooms, two sharing a Jack & Jill en-suite, a family bathroom and a downstairs shower room.

We have lived here for the last 21 years and have had access to everything we have needed, from the social aspects of the city to the activities and schools for the children.
