Do you like the photos?? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally because, one of the best things about NewHome4U is, we OPEN 7 DAYS a WEEK and we’re physically in the office 4U just so that you can view, ‘’like no other estate agent in Mold’

Driving to the top of a narrow cul-de-sac that runs off the main road through Drury, indeed so narrow that first impressions lead you to think it is merely a farm access lane, we eventually find this almost magical spot.

It is a small terrace of cottages occupying a spur off the road and providing each with its own parking area. Now, if you were you to continue along the road you would pass the front of the houses, with their neat, predominantly maintenance free gardens, finding use purely as pedestrian access and provides colour from the gaily flowering pots. The surrounding area is largely woodland, but with some open meadowland for contrast making it feel truly separate from the surrounding village.

Approaching the home from the parking area we traverse a section of decorative gravel, again broken up by various decorative flowering pots, before gaining access to the wooden semi glazed door.

This opens directly into the immaculately refurbished kitchen and immediately underlines the feeling that this is a very special cottage. Obviously freshly refurbished, with its attractive ceramic tiled floor and tastefully fashionable light grey units topped with granite work tops and featuring a splendid Belfast sink adjacent to the large range style cooker. This ‘U’ shaped work space is well thought out and equally well equipped. River Cottage springs to mind…..ops I get carried away! A neat breakfast bar takes up the other end of the room, with a large fridge freezer alongside and also housing the wall mounted new gas combi central heating boiler. If there is a criticism to be levelled at this room, it is that it feels a little on the small side but this is alleviated by the large aperture in what was originally the rear wall of the cottage, the current kitchen being situated in an extension. The additional light and open aspect make the whole room feel far bigger than you may expect + you need to remember that you gain an extra reception room – so swings and roundabouts!

A door takes us through into the charming lounge, which is made to feel as a cottage should by the warming wooden floors and kept cosy by the highly realistic flickering flames coming from the electric ‘fire’…..this is a room that really welcomes you in. After a few minutes here I was reminded of ‘Mole End’ in the Wind in the Willows which speaks volumes for the peace and comfort offered by this home. The staircase rises along the inner wall, while to either end archways take us through into the dining room.

This is situated at the ‘front’ of the home and is of a similar size to the rear lounge and features a continuation of the familiar wooden floor, while being kept light and airy by the large picture window overlooking the maintenance free front garden with its decorative gravel surfaces. As if any further light was necessary, the front door also has a frosted glass panel to its upper half. Completing the circuit back through the remaining archway towards the lounge we pass the staircase.

Mounting the stairs and turning to the left brings us into the master bedroom. Calling it the ‘master’ always sounds a bit pompous when there are only two, but it is certainly the biggest. This delightful room is a comfortably sized double, easily accommodating a wardrobe and various items of free standing furniture along with the double bed while the large window looks out onto thick woodland. This accentuates the feeling of being in a real country cottage, but achieves this while being on the outskirts of Drury, within moments of Buckley and the major road network yet beyond earshot of either.

Directly opposite here on the other side of the landing lies the bathroom. This provides everything that you would expect to find in a refurbishment of this quality and does so with style. The suite comprises a pedestal hand basin, lavatory and ‘P’ shaped bath with a curved glass screen protecting the room from the worst excesses of the mains water fed power shower.

Further along the landing and adjacent to here is the second bedroom. This features a capacious walk-in cupboard providing all the storage space you could need, thus removing the necessity of any large items of free standing furniture and, when taking advantage of this will easily accommodate a full sized double bed.
