Description - Winding Waters is a spectacular family home with something for everyone. Designed to take full advantage of the natural features of its site, the house is on several levels, with generous reception rooms and a state of the art kitchen. It is a great home from which to entertain, especially in the summer months with sliding glass doors leading out onto broad terraces from which to enjoy its southerly aspect. A gated driveway terminates in a gravel sweep. Steps lead from here to a patio and the front door to the formal entrance hall. The split level sitting room, dining room, family room and kitchen are grouped together at this level, as is the utility room and two of the bedrooms with their own bathroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms with extensive attic space off and a further bathroom. At ground level is the well appointed master bedroom suite with a shower room, a cloakroom and an office, adjacent. Outside a bar adjoins the heated pool, the latter incorporating a circular paddling area. The house has integral garages, a really lovely garden with a little brook running through it and stands in approximately three quarters of an acre.

General Information - The property is in an Official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Access to the property from the public highway is initially over a private roadway leading to the Cranham Scout Centre. Full rights of access are reserved to Winding Waters.

Directions - The property is most easily located by leaving our Painswick office in the direction of Cheltenham on the A46. Shortly after passing the Royal William public house on your left branch right to Cranham and then turn immediately right signposted to Cranham Village. As you begin to enter the village, turn left at the bottom of the hill (immediately after a little bridge with white rails), as signed towards the Scout Hut. Proceed straight ahead and the gated entrance to Winding Waters is on the right.

Location - Cranham is a special Cotswold village in a hidden valley, immediately south of Cheltenham and east of Gloucester. Sheltered from the north by extensive Beechwoods (which flank the rear of Winding Waters) the village has delightful rural feel and is friendly and inclusive. Local amenities include its pub (serving good food and real ale), a Church of England primary school plus tennis and cricket clubs. The surrounding countryside is the source of really lovely walks both in the woods (Nature Reserve) and on the adjacent Common. Being so close to Cheltenham and Gloucester means Cranham is within reach of a wide variety of secondary schools both in the state and private sectors as well as excellent shopping at the latter, which also has its Jazz, Science, Literature and Music Festivals. Nearby Painswick has good local services as well as a challenging golf course. Cranham is within 2 hours of London by road with regular train services into Paddington from Stroud Station scheduled from just over 90 minutes and to Birmingham from Cheltenham Station from 40 minutes. Access to the M5 motorway Junction 11a is also excellent and to the A417 for the M4 - Junction 15.
