DESCRIPTION

24 Wilsford is a Grade II listed cottage. It is believed to date back from the 17th Century with later additions. The property has white washed part timber and rendered elevations under a recently rethatched roof. Full planning permission exists for single storey extensions to either end to provide additional living space and the reconfiguration of the first floor to provide an additional ensuite.
The existing cottage is welcoming with period features including exposed timbers and open fireplaces. There is characterful living accommodation including a large kitchen/breakfast room with Aga. There is a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room. On the first floor are three decent bedrooms and a family bathroom all of which enjoy good ceiling heights.

OUTSIDE

The property sits back from the lane and is approached via a five bar gate leading to gravelled parking for 3 - 4 vehicles. There is a small area of lawn to the front enclosed by mature hedging. To the rear is a large south facing garden laid to lawn enclosed by a mature hedgerow boundary. Beyond the garden are adjoining fields with open views towards Salisbury Plain.

DIRECTIONS

From Marlborough take the A345 signposted Pewsey, proceed through Pewsey to Upavon and take the A342 signposted Devizes, take the 2nd turning on the right for Wilsford and after approximately one mile the road bends right, with a small triangle of grass in the centre. Carry straight on for about 400 yards and the cottage will be found on the right hand side.
