Gwithian is a charming village which backs onto three and a half miles of sandy beaches at the northern end of St Ives Bay. One of Cornwall's best known lighthouses is set on Godrevy Island which dominates the seascape. This was the lighthouse which inspired Virginia Woolf's novel, 'To the Lighthouse'.
