ABERAVON BEACH
Aberavon Beach has been acclaimed as being one of the best beaches in the world. For the third year running the beach has received the coveted European Blue flag award, acknowledging its excellent water quality and facilities for Neath Port Talbot residents and tourists to enjoy. The three-mile (5km) long sandy beach is one of 45 across Wales to have been awarded this highly sought after international recognition.

ABERDULAIS FALLS
The Aberdulais Falls are found on the River Dulais at Aberdulais near Neath Port Talbot, South Wales. The falls plunge over beds of hard sandstone before meeting the River Neath flowing down the Vale of Neath and are home to Europe's largest electricity-generating waterwheel.

AFAN FOREST PARK
The Afan Forest Park (formally and locally known as Afan Argoed Country Park) is a 48-square-mile (120 km2) forest park in the Afan Valley in Neath Port Talbot, South Wales. It is well-known for its mountain biking, hiking and hill-walking trails and is situated seven miles (11 km) from Junction 40 of the M4.

CEFN COED COLLIERY MUSUEM
Cefn Coed Colliery Museum was a former coal mine but is now operating as a museum. It is located at Crynant near Neath in the South Wales Valleys.
The complete above ground mine workings remain intact on site, with the steam winding engine from No.2 shaft now electrically driven but there is no access to the underground workings within the museum. A simulated gallery provides full accessibility for blind and disabled visitors. As well as artefacts from the mining industry, the museum also houses a restored and unique gas tram, which ran in Neath until 1920.

MARGAM COUNTRY PARK
Margam Country Park is around 850 acres. It is situated in Margam, about 2 miles from Port Talbot in south Wales. Situated within the park are three notable buildings: Margam Abbey, a Cistercians monastery; Margam Castle, a neo-Gothic country house that was once the seat of the Mansel Talbot family; and the 18th-century Orangery. The estate is noted for its peacock population but also on the estate are deer which have existed on the site since at least Norman times. Aviaries on the estate house a number of rescued birds of prey and the rare breed Glamorgan cattle are also raised on the estate.

GO APE is a giant obstacle course, but with a slight difference. Instead of crawling through the mud, you'll find yourself high in the sky going from tree-top to tree-top. Safety is, of course, a paramount concern and every visitor will find themselves kitted out with harnesses, pulleys and carabiners, before being given a thorough talk by the on-site instructors.

NEATH ABBEY
Neath Abbey was a Cistercian monastery, located near the present-day town of Neath in southern Wales. It was once the largest abbey in Wales. Substantial ruins can still be seen and are in the care of Cadw. Founded in 1130 by the Norman Baron, Richard de Granville and described as the 'Fairest Abbey in all Wales' by Tudor Historian John Leland, the Abbey enjoyed varying fortunes, even serving as an early copper works after the dissolution. Although situated near an industrial area, the Abbey's location, on the banks of the Tennant Canal, makes it a tranquil and memorable site for the visitor.
