Despite being nestled on a picturesque stretch of coastline, Stevenston is surprisingly well-positioned for travel throughout the west of Scotland.
The modern A78 bypass channels traffic around the town, and also provides a high-speed link with the A77 to Glasgow and the central belt's superb motorway network, with the A737 offering a more direct path to the city. The A78 also extends north towards Inverclyde and south towards the major conurbations of Ayr and Prestwick, while the latter's international airport is less than 15 minutes by car from the front door of properties at Mayfield Manor.
Each of the Three Towns (Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenson) has its own train station, while Ardrossan (thanks to its rich maritime history) has three. The mainline residential stations have a half-hourly service to and from Glasgow Central, taking as little as 36 minutes - when you consider that some outer suburbs of Glasgow are almost half an hour by rail from the city centre, journey times from Stevenston are quite simply superb.
