Just a mile to the north of Lakeside is the popular market town of Cannock, with its quaint old world charm and preserved Georgian architecture. Here you’ll find excellent shopping facilities as well as a wide choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. Major supermarkets can all be found here and there are many other top high street names in the town’s mall and pedestrianised shopping area. For good independent shops, try the High Green area and don’t miss Cannock Market for bargains and high quality fruit and veg - it’s open Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Transport links
One thing that really sets Lakeside apart though is its first rate transport links. Its location provides fast access to the M6 Toll at Churchbridge Junction, which also adjoins the A5 and A34. This in turn provides swift access to J11 of the M6. So whether you’re commuting locally or need to travel nationally, everywhere is so easy to get to. Birmingham is just 20 miles to the south and Birmingham International Airport and the NEC are all within easy reach. From Cannock Station, there are services to Walsall, Stafford and Birmingham New Street.
