Out of town in Bearsted, Fish on the Green is one of the most popular seafood restaurants in Kent and has appeared many times in the Michelin Guide. Its sister restaurant - The Oak on the Green - is located next door and enjoys a similar reputation.

Theatre fans will find much to entertain them at the Hazlitt Theatre in central Maidstone. It hosts a comprehensive programme of drama, comedy, music and family shows, as well as workshops, dance classes and a youth drama group. The town also has cricket, tennis, hockey, rugby, squash and football clubs, as well as four golf clubs, which are around 10 minutes by car from the development - Bearsted, The Ridge, Tudor Park, and Leeds Castle golf clubs. Maidstone town centre is around 15 minutes' drive from Bellway at Rosewood. It is a popular shopping destination, with a variety of chain and department stores, designer boutiques and specialist retailers at its heart. The main commercial districts are Fremlin Walk, High Street and Royal Star Arcade, The Mall shopping centre and Week Street. A general market takes place on Tuesday and Saturday at Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre, three miles from the development, and a local produce and craft market is held on the same site monthly.

Education

Several well-regarded schools can be found in the local area. For younger children these include Tree Tops Primary Academy and Langley Park Primary Academy, which are both a short walk from the development.
