Local Information

Leisure Facilities

Well-located on the edge of the town centre the development is ideally placed for the High Street which is home to a number of independent and specialist shops - butchers, bakers, delicatessen and fishmongers
- selling locally produced food and a wide range of goods. Small courtyards and alleyways leading off of the High Street provide further compelling shopping. The town is also host to a street market every Tuesday and Saturday with stalls offering fresh produce, flowers, plants, clothing, jewellery, bric-a-brac, crafts and antiques.

Set in the heart of the beautiful East Devon countryside, Honiton has been renowned for lace, pottery and glove making for centuries, and although these time honoured crafts are no longer carried out to their former extent, Honiton has numerous specialist shops dedicated to both lace and pottery.

Honiton is also a well-established centre for Antiques and Antiquarian books and attracts dealers from all over the world who come to browse in the many antique shops, selling everything from pottery and lace through to books and furniture, or to visit one of the regular auctions held in the town.

The town also hosts an annual festival of live music and visual arts bringing Britain's established and new talents in classical music to the South West.

Transport Links

Honiton is within easy reach of both of the West Country’s National Parks – Dartmoor and Exmoor, as well as being close to Exeter – the ancient capital of the South West. Much of the area surrounding Honiton is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty and the town’s location, near to the River Otter, provides an abundance of country
walks and footpaths to explore.

Getting out and about in Honiton couldn't be easier. The town is well
served by public transport and is on the main Exeter to London rail line. Exeter International Airport is also within easy reach with regular flights to a number of UK and European holiday destinations.
