Local Information

Leisure Facilities

Broadbridge Heath is ideally located just 1 mile from the market town of Horsham. The Horsham District is centrally located in the beautiful South downland and Weald landscape of the South East. It is just one hour by train from London and 40 minutes by car to the coast.

It benefits from the charms of a village location whilst taking advantage of the more mainstream amenities on its doorstep from the surrounding towns. The village itself is perfect for your everyday needs.

A post office, supermarket, hairdressers and pub to name but a few are within the area as well as a large leisure centre for those wishing to keep fit or have a kick about on the football pitch. The local cricket ground or indoor bowls centre are also on hand if football is not your thing and the local social club showcases many social events. A large Tesco supermarket is on the doorstep, with a Costa Coffee bar being the perfect meeting place.

Local Shopping

From Swan Walk's range of popular high street stores, to quirky and independent shops and boutiques nestling among the town's attractive streets and hidden passageways, the town offers a varied shopping experience, and the bustling market still opens on Thursdays and Saturdays.

There are plenty of places to stop for sustenance. Cosmopolitan restaurants and pavement cafe spill out onto the streets, or the attractive old pubs and inns provide a taste of history. For something a little more cultural, there are several theatres, museums and galleries to choose from, including Horsham Museum and Art Gallery, surrounded by the beautiful original buildings of the Causeway.

Whether for a lakeside stroll or something more energetic, Horsham Park has it all, with tranquil landscaped gardens, tennis courts and even an orienteering course. Regular events for children along with free jazz concerts and music festivals makes this the perfect summer venue.

Education

There are a number of exceptional schools that provide excellent education options. The local primary school provides mainstream education for boys and girls aged between 4 and 11, and there are secondary schools and colleges in neighbouring Horsham.

Horsham is also home to Millais, one of the leading specialist all girls schools in the country, and The College of Richard Collyer, which has held the Investors In People standard for over 10 years and has been awarded “Beacon Status” by LSIS. Both establishments carry an Ofsted rating of “Outstanding”.

There are a number of other highly regarded schools in the nearby area including Tanbridge High School, Farlington School which is an independent girls’ day and boarding school for girls aged 3-18, St John’s Catholic Primary School, Hillcrest College for boys aged 11-18, and St Mary’s C of E Primary School. All of these have also been awarded an Ofsted rating of “Good” or “Outstanding”.
