Cheltenham is rightly famous for the racing, but its cultural life encompasses much more besides.

The Promenade has many of the more exclusive brands such as Jaeger and Russell & Bromley. Montpellier is famed for its caryatid statues standing outside the boutiques, while The Suffolks is a particularly rich source of antiques dealers.

These districts all have an elegant yet village-like air, thanks to their splendid Regency buildings and preponderance of cafés and restaurants offering rest and respite to the busy shopper.
