Poole Quarter
Poole Quarter is at the heart of a dynamic regeneration scheme that is putting this traditional portside town back on the map as a destination in its own right. Everything you need is really close at hand, from shops, bars and restaurants to a variety of entertainment and leisure venues. With more than three miles of golden sands and above average amounts of sunshine, this is the ideal spot to enjoy a whole range of outdoor activities too. Providing the ultimate waterside lifestyle, sleek modern living space and great transport links, Poole Quarter is about freedom of choice.
Poole is definitely one of the most exciting places to live. Not only are the local beaches some of the finest in the country, but all the ingredients for a great time are right on the doorstep. Substantial investment has transformed the face of Poole town centre and Quay and is now opening up new areas of public waterfront providing better amenities, better local transport facilities and fabulous opportunities for both business and pleasure. Poole Quarter lies at the heart of a dynamic regeneration scheme that will further enhance this flourishing portside town. Retaining much of its timeless harbour-side atmosphere, Poole is fast becoming a magnet for those looking for a lifestyle that goes way beyond simply owning a place by the sea.
Location
The attractions of living so near to the harbour are immediately apparent, but Poole Quarter is just as handy for the town centre. Everything you need is really close at hand. From stores like Marks & Spencer and the retail outlets of the newly refurbished Dolphin Shopping Centre, to art galleries, the ‘Light House’, (Poole Centre for the Arts) Museums, and the Tower Park (the south’s biggest leisure complex), which includes a multiplex cinema, a Waterslide Park, 30 lane bowling complex, and a host of activities for all ages. There is a local sports centre and nearby Poole Stadium hosts the country’s league and cup winning speedway team and top riders, as well as regular greyhound racing.
Poole has more than 3 miles of golden sands and has, for the last few years, recorded above average amounts of sunshine, which makes this an ideal place to enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities. Poole’ s natural harbour is great for windsurfing, kite surfing, jet skiing, sailing and deep-sea fishing for the energetic. Relaxing on the beach, taking a gentle stroll along the shore or chilling out with friends at a harbour-side café or restaurant for those who like to take life at a slower pace. Whatever gets you going, there are plenty of pubs, clubs and places to eat to keep your taste buds tingling from dawn to dusk and into the small hours at any time of year.
