Formerly part of Windsor Forest, Binfield is still surrounded by well wooded areas and offers a wide range of commons, woods and country parks. This includes Dinton Pastures Country Park, with 7 lakes, 2 rivers and a series of meadows just 15 minutes from Hazelwood. Binfield is steeped in history, with links to a number of famous individuals including Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I, who stayed in the Stag & Hounds while it was a hunting lodge. The village itself benefits from a variety of local shops and public houses (including The Stag & Hounds, now a bistro) and restaurants catering for all tastes.
The town of Bracknell is just minutes away by car. Bracknell benefits from two major shopping areas with both well known and boutique style brands and offers a variety of leisure activities including indoor skiing, snowboarding and ice skating at the John Nike Leisure Sporting Complex. The Horseshoe Lake Water Sports Centre nearby is set in the rural countryside with woodlands, a 22 acre lake and nature reserve next to the River Blackwater; offering canoeing and windsurfing amongst other outdoor activities.

Local Shopping

Further afield, Reading is within a 30 minute drive from Hazelwood. Blending both old and new with modern offices and Victorian gothic public buildings, Reading is a fantastic location to visit. The town offers a wide range of amenities and leisure activities including The Oracle, a large indoor shopping centre, and several other retail opportunities within the town centre, art centres, open air cafés and theatres with special events such as the Reading Rock Festival, Waterfest and food festival including street market food ‘Eat Reading’ held throughout the year.

Windsor is also only a short drive away from our location, with the striking Windsor Castle located in its centre. The town boasts many attractions and areas of interest, with cobbled streets and Georgian and Victorian architecture, there are several areas in and around the Castle. Windsor also offers a variety of retail opportunities and culinary delights. There are several events held throughout the year, including The Garter Ceremony at Windsor Castle, The Royal Windsor Horse Show and The Windsor Emporium; an arts, crafts and antiques fair which runs monthly from March until December.

Known as the ‘Borough of Opportunity’, Bracknell Forest Local Authority has invested into the schools within the area to improve and ensure high standards of education. Residents at Hazelwood are superbly located, with a wide choice of pre-school nurseries, primary and secondary schools and higher education available. Within the immediate area, the Newbold College of Higher Education is minutes away on foot and offers a wide variety of courses including Theology, Business Management and Fine Arts. Additionally Binfield C of E Primary School and Meadow Vale Primary School are less than a mile away, with St Crispin’s Secondary School and High Close School are under 2 miles away, High Close School also offers special needs provision.

Transport Links

Hazelwood is perfectly situated for access throughout the South East, with excellent transport links. Although exuding a country village ambience, Binfield is located outside of the M4 (Jct 10), minutes from the A329 (M) and under 35 minutes from London. Bracknell offers two rail stations, Bracknell and Martins Heron, which offer frequent services to Waterloo and Reading, with links to London Paddington, Oxford and Bristol. From the M25
Leave the M25 at junction 7 and join the M23 towards Gatwick Airport and Brighton. Leave the M23 at junction 11 and join the A264 towards Horsham. Remain on the A264 over three roundabouts to Horsham.

At the next roundabout the Moorhead Roundabout take the first exit onto the B2195 Crawley Road. Continue ahead at the next roundabout. At the next roundabout take the fourth exit onto Kings Road. Continue for 150 metres and you will find us situated on the right hand side.

From the A24
Leave the M25 at junction 9 (towards Leatherhead and Dorking) and follow the A24 beyond Dorking for approximately 21 miles until the Great Daux Roundabout at Warnham. Take the second exit onto the A24 and at the next roundabout, the Robin Hood Roundabout, take the first exit onto the B2237, Warnham Road into Horsham.

Continue for ¾ mile and turn left onto the B2180, Hurst Road. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the B2195, North Street. At the next roundabout take the second exit onto Kings Road. Continue for 150 metres and you will find us situated on the right hand side.
