Leisure Facilities

Britain’s number one shopping destination, Bicester Village, is less than 6 miles’ drive away from Heyford Park. Bicester Village is both a tourist attraction and the UK’s leading designer outlet village.

The Pioneer Centre located in Bicester town centre offers a variety of retail outlets and eateries, along with a 7-screen cinema where you can watch the very latest blockbuster film.

A neighbourhood centre with retail outlets and a village pub will be available in the near future.

The Heyford Park Free School opened in 2013 and includes a newly refurbished indoor sports centre and outdoor pitches available for community use as well as the school. It is an ‘all-through’ school that provides primary and secondary education to children from age 4 to 19.

Heyford Park Free School has an excellent range of facilities located on one of the UK’s most exciting sites of historical importance. The school uses existing, fully refurbished buildings once used by both the RAF and US Air Force, including the stunning Officers Mess, which is located at the heart of Heyford Park, and our Specialisms Campus.

The Specialisms Campus includes a superb sprung-floor basketball court, squash courts, football pitches, an athletics track, baseball diamonds, tennis courts and a fitness gym. It also holds a number of classrooms designed for music, design and technology that pupils will use throughout their school life. The Heyford Park Community also has use of this building outside of school hours, and a community internet café will operate from within the building.

The April 2015 Ofsted report gave Heyford Park Free School a ‘good’ rating.
