Totnes is a fantastic place to relax, being a nationally famous centre for not only the arts, theatre and music, but also for natural health and alternative medicines. It has a noble history, with a castle dating from Saxon times defending the important River Dart estuary.

There are several museums and a number of notable old houses and architecturally important buildings, especially around the Eastgate and the Butterwalk in the town centre.

Ideally situated between Dartmoor and the sea, Follaton Oak is a perfect base from which to explore South Devon. It is only a short drive from the attractions of Torbay, the city of Exeter and the famous seaport of Plymouth.

Take the A385 slip road to Paignton/South Brent/ Avonwick/B3210. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit staying on the A385. Drive approx. 2 miles then turn right, after 0.4 miles turn right, after 0.4 miles turn left. Continue onto Plymouth Road for 0.2 miles and Follaton Oak will be on your right.

FROM PLYMOUTH EAST BOUND A38 HEADING TOWARDS PAIGNTON/EXETER:

Take the slip road sign posted Dartington/Totnes/ Dartmouth, at the roundabout, take the first exit onto A385, at the next roundabout, take 2nd exit stay onto A385. Drive approx. 2 miles then turn right, after 0.4 miles turn right after 0.4 miles turn left. Continue onto Plymouth Road for 0.2 miles and Follaton Oak will be on your right.

FROM NEWTON ABBOT HEADING WEST TO A381:

Head west on East street A381 toward Carlisle street, continue on A381, at the roundabout take 2nd exit onto A385, at the roundabout take 3rd exit on to Station Road/ A385, continue on A385 for 0.3 miles turn left onto western by-pass A381, turn right on to Plymouth Road for 0.2 miles and Follaton Oak will be on your right.
