In 2005, Ashford was voted one of the UK’s top five places to live; today as one of the country’s swiftest growing towns and a key growth area set to benefit from massive investment, it has even more to offer. Ashford is certainly a shopper’s paradise with two shopping centres – the Park Mall and County Square – home to a full range of High Street names. There’s also a popular Designer Outlet with around 70 brands selling stock at discounted prices as well as plenty of independent store & boutiques and larger retail outlets such as Comet, PC World, B&Q and Argos.
If you’re eating out, Ashford has a good selection of restaurants, bars and pubs and after dark, there’s also a nightclub and the town’s multi-screen cinema is located just off junction 9 of the M20.
For the sporting, Ashford has its own football, hockey, swimming and rugby clubs. The Julie Rose Stadium provides international athletics facilities and the Stour Centre has separate swimming and leisure pools, as sports hall and fitness stadium. In educational terms, young people in Ashford are well catered for. From the South
• Leave the M20 at Junction 10 for Ashford/Hastings
• At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A292 / Hythe Road
• Continue forward, past the Norton Knatchbull School
• Turn right onto Grodon Close, follow the road around – Henwood Place is on your left.
