Description
McCarthy & Stone pioneered the concept of private purpose built retirement housing in the UK over 30 years ago. An Assisted Living retirement development bridges the gap between more conventional retirement living and residential care or a nursing home, by offering a range of additional features designed to help residents retain their independence and importantly, for those in retirement, home ownership.
Townsend Court consists of 69 one and two bedroom assisted living retirement homes. Ideally located on High Street South less than one mile from Rushden town centre, these assisted living retirement apartments are also close to Northamptonshire’s major road network. It is within easy reach of theA45, A14 and M1 and M6 motorways, giving access to larger towns such as Wellingborough: Kettering; Northampton; Bedford and Milton Keynes.
Rushden is the largest town in East Northamptonshire and is located approximately 16 miles from Northampton and 13 miles from Bedford. It is well served by strategic roads, and boasts some pleasing Victorian and Edwardian architecture in the town centre. A bustling town, Rushden is most proud of its Hall which dates back to the 14th Century and is an interesting mix of styles, resulting in an attractive manor house of mellow limestone under a clay tiled roof.
