About Miller Homes
Our background
Miller Homes, part of the Miller Group, is the nation’s largest privately-owned housebuilder. Since 1934 we have completed over 60,000 homes, and established ourselves as one of the top three housebuilders in Scotland and the North East of England, and top ten in the UK as a whole.
In 2000 we re-invented ourselves with a new image, a portfolio of new house-types, new locations in which to build and a new customer care programme. The quality and value of our product range has since shown dramatic improvement with our average selling price increasing from £74,000 in 1999 to £164,000 in 2008.
Our customer focus
Through our established customer care programme we pledge to communicate effectively and always deliver what we promise, without fail. Month on month, we have seen a massive improvement in overall satisfaction and in our most recent survey, conducted in 2009, 97% of our customers state they would happily recommend Miller Homes to their best friend.
We understand the experience of the customer journey and acknowledge that buying a house can be an anxious time – as a result, we have introduced several initiatives to help our customers through the whole process.
Our commitment to quality
Our commitment to constant improvement has been well rewarded, to see Miller Homes list of awards click here
In addition, a total of 12 Miller Homes’ Site Managers won Quality Awards during 2008, of which six went on to be awarded a Seal of Excellence, and one – Bill Hughes – won a Regional Award and was runner-up in the Supreme Awards. In addition, two Site Managers won a Gold and a Silver award in the Chartered Institute of Builders’ Construction Manager of the Year awards. These awards act as further incentive for striving to achieve the best in everything we do. Miller Homes will continue to develop new product designs in response to Government planning legislation and to the changes in consumer lifestyle which will never stop presenting our industry with fresh and exciting challenges.
