The town of Montrose, located on the east coast of Angus, with its many tourist and historical attractions is popular with visitors to the area.
There is are excellent range of amenities in the local area including shops, beaches, restaurants and hotels and a wide range of sporting activities are available, including sailing, bowling, golf, fishing and tennis. The new golf course has an excellent reputation as being one of the most challenging courses in Scotland and for the less patient, The Broomfield course is an ideal way to test your skills.
Just outside Montrose is the 18th Century House of Dun, (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) guided tours of this impressive house are available. The property, a popular visitor attraction, was designed by the Scottish architect William Adam and built in 1730 for David Erskine, 13th Laird of Dun.

The surrounding area has excellent amenities, sporting and recreational facilities as well as many historical and cultural attractions. Montrose offers good shopping, award wining restaurants and a host of activities including sailing, bowling, golf, fishing, tennis, swimming and a good sports centre. Montrose golf course has an excellent reputation and has been dubbed one of Scotland’s most challenging courses.
Other attractions to explore include The Air Heritage Centre, RSPB Wildlife Sanctuary and William Lang Memorial Studio, Montrose amateur operatic society and the thriving jazz and folk music scene.

Driving directions
Following the main route, take the A90 Dundee Road to Aberdeen. Turn off at the sign posting for Brechin then follow the signs for Montrose. The development is situated on the left hand side, just before the Tayock Bridge roundabout, which leads into Montrose, approximately 2km from centre of Montrose. The site can also be found when coming from the coastal A92 road.
