Shopping
Newcastle-under-Lyme is a market town in the true sense of the word, offering over 80 bustling stalls open six days a week, many displaying antiques and memorabilia as well as more general stalls. The town centre is a great mix of big name stores and small boutique and independent outlets. Being compact means it's easy on the feet, and easy on the eye with its fine Georgian buildings and floral displays which helped Newcastle win national awards in the Britain in Bloom competition. For the weekly groceries, you'll find a choice of supermarkets in the town and within easy driving distance.

Leisure
There's no shortage of things to do in Newcastle-under-Lyme One of the main centres for leisure is Jubilee Pool, which in addition to a thirty metre swimming pool, offers everything from Turkish hot rooms to a fully equipped gym. Newcastle Borough Museum is situated in eight acres of beautiful parkland, making it an ideal location for a day out and features over 800 years of Borough history. Whilst the New Vic Theatre, Europe's first purpose-built 'theatre in the round', provides a varied programme of entertainment all year round. And of course there's always a visit to nearby Alton Towers.

Education
If you have children this is a good area to choose for its range of schools catering for all ages, including Langdale Junior School and Newcastle Community High School. When it comes to further education Newcastle-under-Lyme College and of course Keele University have an excellent reputation.
