Transport links
Amesbury is well placed to allow access to a number of
key destinations. An extensive road infrastructure connects
motorists to various towns and cities. Salisbury, approximately
8 miles away is easily reached via the A345 and subsequently
the A36 can be taken to Southampton which is around 31
miles distant. The nearby A303 provides access to Andover,
around 14 miles distant. Continuing along the A303 the M3 is
reached at Junction 8, this major artery provides connections
to much of Southern England.
Rail users are equally well served by a network of fast and
direct services from Salisbury Station. Complementing the
impressive road and rail services is a comprehensive bus
network that links nearby villages and towns. For international
travel Southampton Airport is approximately 40 miles distant
from where many destinations across Europe can be reached.
