Travel a short distance and you will find some of the most breathtaking scenery to be found in England. Stunning views and countless things to do and experience. There are some 4000 miles of pathways including the famous Ridgeway Walk, Kennet and Avon Canal, Morgan’s Hill and the Tan Hill Way offer some beautiful and remote walks.
The Cotswold Water Park is just north of Lyneham and provides facilities for sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, power boating and angling, while the local area also boasts 11 golf courses, riding stables and hand gliding schools.
Other worthy places to visit are Avebury and Stonehenge, the City of Bath and Longleat House & Safari Park.

Cirencester is a short drive away with various restaurants, bars, theatres and of course shopping! Lyneham village itself is fairly self-contained and extremely friendly.
There are 2 pubs in the village, an Indian restaurant, fish & chip shop and kebab house. There are both Indian and Chinese takeaways as well as 2 Pizza Parlours, hairdresser, barber and a florist.

Lyneham Primary School is situated right next to our development and has an excellent reputation.
Nearby Wootton Bassett offers a range of daycare and nursery schools, special needs and secondary schools, as well as a sixth form college.

Driving directions

Lyneham is approx 2 hours from the centre of London. Travel west down the M4, come off at Swindon Junction 16, leave the motorway (signposted A3102 Wootton Bassett). Follow the A3102 signs for Lyneham, which is approx 5 miles away. If you are travelling from the West, leave the M4 Junction 17 Chippenham, follow the signs for Sutton Benger (B4069) B4122 and then B4069 Lyneham. It is approx 8.6 miles from the motorway junction.
On entering Lyneham Village Centre, Preston Lane can be found on the left hand side opposite the fish and chip shop.
