For a day out, try Brixworth Country Park, for the fishing and sailing of Pitsford Water, or visit the magnificent country house and grounds of Boughton House. Wicksteed Theme Park is also a great fun day out with everything from amusements to rollercoasters set within 147 acres of Grade II parkland.

Arena Sports, close to the development to the west of Kettering, is the National Volleyball Centre, and has excellent facilities for this and other sports. Golfers will enjoy the challenge of Kettering Golf Course, just a few minute drive away.

The Red Lion in the village offers an excellent selection of tasty food, and was voted Rural Pub of the Year by Northamptonshire CAMRA. You’ll also discover a number of other friendly inns in the local villages, including the Three Cranes in Great Cransley, The Hare at Loddington and the Monk and Minstrel in Isham – as well as an excellent chip shop.
