About the Development

Located just 16miles from the Welsh border, Hereford has been strategically important for over fourteen hundred years, and was once the Saxon capital of West Mercia. Today it is a thriving city that blends outstanding history and heritage with the very best of modern living. A multi-million pound, 15-year regeneration project is well underway, with a new £90m shopping and leisure centre already open in the city centre.

This blend of old and new makes Hereford the perfect home for the Heritage Collection, with their classic Arts and Crafts architecture and modern family friendly interiors. Register your interest today for these superb homes in Hereford, and you’ll be the first to know as the development progresses. Remember, you could enjoy all that this historic city has to offer with just a 5% deposit with Help to Buy, and enjoy lower monthly mortgage repayments.

The development lies just a short walk from the town centre, where you’ll find a range of supermarkets and convenience stores. There is also a local CoOp store just along Whitecross Road.

For doctors, register with Bobblestock Surgery on Grandstand Road (sat nav HR4 9LP, call 01432 354573) while dentists can be found at St Owen Dental centre on Aubrey Street (sat nav HR4 0BU, call 01432 272084).

Trip Advisor lists no less than 192 restaurants in Hereford worth trying, with something for every taste and budget. Top recommendations include Simply Thai, Café Miro, The Bookshop and Meditaerrane as well as the pub grub at The Moon Inn, The Bunch of Carrots and The Axe and Clever.

Closer to home, Bazari Asian and The Buckingham public house are both within walking distance. For a family trip, the Old market is home to a number of family favourites, including Frankie and Benny’s and Nando’s.

Hereford is perhaps most famous for its ancient independent Cathedral School, which can trace its records back to 1384 and its origins back centuries further.

In the state sector, you can choose from several Ofsted ‘Good’ rated primary schools within easy reach of the development, including Clifford Primary, Trinity Primary and Lord Scudamore Primary.

Hereford also has an excellent selection of secondary schools, each of which has its own specialisation, including Whitecross High School and Hereford Academy, which specialise in sports, Aylestone Business and Enterprise College and Bishop’s Hereford Bluecoat School, which is a specialist technology college. Hereford also has a well established and popular 6th Form college.

Hereford is well equipped for your leisure and pleasure, with something for everyone. Hereford Leisure Centre and Leisure Pool are both excellent facilities, and golfers can play around in the city at Hereford Municipal Golf Course, or choose from a number of challenging courses in the surrounding countryside. National Hunt racing will also be returning to the city in October 2016 after several years’ absence.

The city has a choice of theatres and cinemas, including a brand new Odeon digital cinema in the new Old Market complex. Naturally, you’ll also find a fascinating range of museums to explore, charting the history of Hereford, along with the famous cathedral itself.

For outdoor pursuits, the Brecon Beacons National Park is just 20miles to the west, while the Wye Valley, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lies just to the south.

Hereford has been awarded Fair Trade city status, so whatever you are shopping for, you can be sure to find the finest goods produced in the most ethical manner. At the heart of the city lies the new £90m Old Market development, including a large Debenhams and a number of other major household names, along with a range of popular restaurants and entertainment facilities.

The city is also home to the Maylord shopping centre and several retail parks, and hosts a regular street market every Wednesday and Saturday in the city centre.

Hereford is around 24 miles from both Worcester and Gloucester, where you can pick up the M5 heading north or south. The city has excellent road connections via the A438 and A49, which pass through the centre and connect to local towns and villages, as well as to the Welsh border just 16miles away. Birmingham is around 60miles to the north east.

Hereford station has regular services to Cardiff in an hour, Birmingham in an hour and a half and Worcester in around 40minutes.
